Door County Skate, Inc. Plans Ice Skating Improvements.
Door County Skate, Inc. is a new non-profit 501 c (3) organization with a mission to improve and expand ice skating opportunities in Door County. We are working with Sturgeon Bay Park and Recreation Department to make improvements to the Memorial Field Skating Rink, located at 14th & Quincy St. for the 1999-2000 season.

The City Park Department and Door County Skate, Inc. are working together to increase the hours of operation through a commitment of their employees and our volunteers. The planned hours are 2:30 to 9:00 Monday through Friday, 12:00 to 9:00 Saturday and 12:00 to 8:00 Sunday. Hockey boards are also being installed to increase safety by separating the hockey players from the recreational skaters.

Our goal for the future is to develop an indoor ice rink for the county that will allow for skating programs regardless of the weather.
